The new Nepal Black – Special Edition writes a new chapter in the history of the iconic Baxter armchair designed by Paola Navone: the same silhouette, the same balance between structural essentiality and material generosity, now presented in black for a limited edition of 100 numbered pieces.
Slim, restrained but carefully considered, a light profile that seems to levitate. A spectacle of textures rests on that minimalist frame: cosy volumes, a Mongolian lining providing movement and tactile warmth. It is a contrast that makes Nepal both intense and sophisticated.
Now those same forms are dressed in deep black, which absorbs the light and returns it in soft reflections. Underneath the seat, a refined and discreet graphic narrates the limited edition. On the side, attached to the metal structure, a detail transforms each piece into a small treasure: the numbered red seal, a mark of authenticity, a strong visual presence, and symbol of uniqueness.
In contrast to the white one already in the collection, Nepal Black is the ‘black sheep’ that is unafraid to be so: a celebration of difference as a value, of rarity as a privilege. In a world dominated by uniformity, this armchair emerges as a symbol of aesthetic independence, a small manifesto of personality that does not seek to harmonise: it prefers to disrupt the balance, suggesting new dimensions of beauty.
The Nepal Black – Special Edition is the centrepiece of the new set up at the Silvera Gribeauval Paris showroom.
