The iconic ballpoint pen BIC© Becomes a King-Size Lamp at Maison&Objet 2026, celebrating its 75th anniversary

The collaboration between Seletti and BIC has resulted in a unique pendant lamp that celebrates the 75th anniversary of the iconic ballpoint pen

The ballpoint pen becomes king size and transforms into the new Seletti pendant lamp. With the BIC © Lamp, the company transforms one of the most iconic everyday objects into a surprising design element. Designed by Mario Paroli, the lamp faithfully reproduces the BIC© Cristal at a 12:1 scale and is available as a floor lamp, pendant, or wall-mounted version, in the three most recognizable colors: black, blue, and red.

Crafted with materials chosen to evoke the original and equipped with LED technology, the collection celebrates a global icon, reinterpreting its function and proportions with a pop sensibility. With a display inspired by neighbourhood stationery shops, Seletti presents the BIC© Lamp at Maison&Objet 2026. The debut of the BIC© Lamp in Paris also marks the conclusion of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of BIC© Cristal, paying tribute to the origins of the company, founded on the outskirts of Paris thanks to the dedication and inventiveness of Marcel Bich.
