Last week, Athens welcomed JJ Martin, the visionary creator behind the global fashion phenomenon La DoubleJ, for an unforgettable two-day experience. Invited by Anastasia Tsourekas, Creative Director and co-owner of Luisa World, JJ Martin traveled to Greece to introduce us firsthand to her universe—a world filled with color, joy, spirituality, and feminine energy.
The two-day event began with a refined cocktail celebration at the La DoubleJ corner on the third floor of Luisa World’s flagship store in Kolonaki, where friends of the brand, fashion personalities, and influencers gathered to welcome JJ Martin in an environment that beautifully blended Italian elegance with Athenian vibrancy. Guests, dressed in the brand’s signature colorful creations, enjoyed rich hot chocolate and refreshing signature St Germain spritzes, in an evening that brought the joy and carefree spirit of La DoubleJ to the heart of Athens. A highlight of the night was the impressive photobooth, fully dressed in the brand’s iconic prints and patterns, where guests captured moments that felt straight out of an editorial spread.
This was followed by an intimate private dinner with the Tsourekas family at the beloved traditional restaurant “Taverna Ton Filon,” transformed with La DoubleJ’s floral tablecloths and distinctive tableware. There, JJ Martin had the opportunity to taste authentic Greek dishes, experience local hospitality, and immerse herself in the warm, effortless Greek culture, accompanied by live Greek music. She openly expressed her excitement for the vibrant Mediterranean energy—an energy that aligns perfectly with the philosophy of La Double
The next day began with a deeply personal and introspective Akashic Reading meditation session, guided by Mikaella Akashic, JJ Martin’s personal healer. Twenty-five selected influencers participated in an experience that highlighted a lesser-known yet absolutely essential side of La DoubleJ—the one that connects aesthetics with spirituality, and style with inner balance. The calm, the connection, and the energy of the moment created an atmosphere that participants described as “revelatory” and “rejuvenating.”
After the session, they were joined by ten representatives of the Greek fashion media for an intimate exclusive brunch, where JJ Martin spoke about the evolution of the brand, her philosophy on fashion and wellbeing, and her deeper desire to create not just clothes, but experiences.
