Dimitrios Masouras Studio has found its own physical home in Koukaki, in a space that functions simultaneously as a gallery, shop and atelier. Conceived as an extension of the work of painter and artist Dimitrios Masouras, the Studio brings together original paintings and translates his visual language into ceramics, textiles, and art and design objects.

The space unfolds across two levels. On the ground floor, artworks and everyday objects coexist without strict divisions, creating the feeling that the artist is opening up part of his home to the public. The upper floor houses his atelier, where the creative process continues and the Studio’s Painting Classes take place.

The space was designed entirely by the Studio’s team, preserving and highlighting authentic architectural features from the 1960s. The architecture, materials, colours and presentation of the works come together to create a cohesive environment that reflects the Studio’s overall approach to art and design.

At its core lies the philosophy “Art, made to live with”: art beyond the walls, as part of everyday life. Painting is always the starting point, while each new material becomes a different canvas for the same narrative.

Dimitrios Masouras is a painter and the founder of Dimitrios Masouras Studio. He studied Graphic Design, Cinematography and Fashion Management in the United Kingdom, and trained in Costume Design, Scenography and Performance Art at the National Theatre of Greece. His experience across different creative disciplines brings painting, objects, clothing and space together in a unified artistic practice.

The recurring motifs in his work include sailors, flowers and the sea itself, forming a visual world deeply rooted in Greek identity. Working primarily with line and colour, Dimitrios Masouras explores themes such as tenderness, anticipation, loneliness, memory, identity and human connection.
