Set in the countryside between Carovigno and Ostuni, “Una casa nel verde” is a unique modern villa designed by architect Luca Zanaroli, where contemporary design, sustainability, and traditional rural Puglia harmoniously coexist. Conceived as a private retreat away from the city, the house builds around the existing ancient olive trees, integrating them as natural elements for shade and ventilation. The compact architectural volumes feature traditional white lime plaster and dry-stone walls made from excavated local rock, while large glass windows create a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. Inside, light gray lime walls and custom oak and iron furnishings handcrafted by local artisans deliver a serene, minimalist atmosphere. Outdoors, an open-air living area with a fireplace under a centuries-old olive tree and a dark reflective swimming pool complete this seamless landscape integration in the heart of Apulia.
