In Eternal Youth, starring Dita von Teese and La Pigalle, glamour recovers its original meaning: a form of enchantment, a spell, a power capable of transforming the way we perceive the world.
At a time when glamour is often associated with the desire to be seen, admired, and noticed, Eternal Youth returns to the original meaning of the term. Long before it became synonymous with self-presentation and allure, glamour referred to a spell, a form of enchantment. Rooted in ancient notions of magic and illusion, it described a power capable of transforming the way we perceive the world. It is from this forgotten definition that Christian Louboutin’s new creation takes shape.
Eternal Youth begins in a world where a quiet sadness lingers, as though enchantment itself had been forgotten. In the silence lies a long-awaited mysterious figure. Her return becomes a collective hope: the promise that imagination, desire and enchantment may once again find their place.
When Dita Von Teese finally appears, she seems to emerge from an ancient fairy tale. Her image naturally recalls Snow White: hair black as ebony, skin pure as snow, lips red as blood. Yet the resemblance ends where reinvention begins. This is not the story of a heroine rescued by a prince. It is the story of a woman becoming the author of her own destiny.
