Located a few meters from the Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino, recently renovated by the Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, Villa Beatrice also reveals its metamorphosis orchestrated by the British agency.
Just steps from the Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino, stands Villa Beatrice, built over a century ago overlooking the sea. The Belmond hotel group acquired this elegant property a few years ago.A residence inspired by Art Nouveau and Neo-Gothic styles, it was designed by the renowned Tuscan architect Gino Coppedè. Today, Villa Beatrice has been restored to its former glory after a meticulous renovation. The project was led by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, which also oversaw the transformation of the nearby hotel. The villa unfolds within a splendid garden reimagined by landscape designer Marco Bay. It comprises three floors housing five suites. A privileged retreat, its elegant décor harmonizes perfectly with the various architectural details that adorn the building. This residence offers a 24-hour butler service, a private chef, a yoga instructor, and a personal trainer. The ideal place to experience la dolce vita on the Italian Riviera.
In Portofino, on the Ligurian coast, everyone recognizes its silhouette, but few truly know its story. Perched on a rocky outcrop, overlooking the sea from its red-tiled turret, Villa Beatrice is one of those captivating addresses that ignite the imagination of novelists, filmmakers, wealthy vacationers, and journalists alike. Its eclectic style is a distillation of the best that Italy has to offer in architecture: a skillful blend of Renaissance, nods to Antiquity, Neo-Gothic, and Liberty style (the Italian equivalent of Art Nouveau). It’s a cocktail of indefinable charm, floating between the tourmaline-colored sea and the azure skies.
