A special evening was organized by the Museum of Cycladic Art on Thursday, May 14, at The Wallace Collection in London.

Celebrating 40 years since its founding, the Museum of Cycladic Art is embarking on a new chapter in its history: a “Transformation” that will renew its physical presence, creating a new cultural landmark in Athens while redefining how a museum of the future should operate.

The event welcomed 160 prominent members of the younger generation of the Greek community in London, who have long supported the Museum’s work. Representatives from the worlds of art, business, and fashion attended, alongside sponsors, donors, and supporters of the Museum. The evening was hosted by Dimitris Chandris, Board Member of the Museum of Cycladic Art, together with Katherine Empirikou, Head of International Development at the Museum.

Among those present in support of the evening were Prince John Michael Radziwill, Philippos Laimou and Marianna Laimou, Lydia Chandris, Philippos De Grece, and Giannis Martinos with Maya Martinos. Guests were welcomed by Sandra Marinopoulou, President and CEO of the Museum, Titina Patera, Vice President, and the rest of the Board of Directors.

The aim of the evening was to support the Museum’s landmark “Transformation” project, scheduled for completion in 2027.

The event took place at The Wallace Collection, housed within Hertford House, a national museum that hosts one of the world’s most celebrated art collections, featuring masterpieces of exceptional historical importance.
