Jo Malone London travels back in time to the ancient Roman baths, drawing inspiration from them for the creation of its new Care Collection. In those spaces, where the care of body and mind was considered a ritual, the concept of self-care held a deeper meaning. A philosophy that today is being redefined through modern science and the power of fragrance.
The Care Collection by the British house is designed to enhance wellbeing through four daily routines that inspire aromatic experiences and awaken positive emotions. Supported by neurosensorial research, the collection highlights the science of emotional wellbeing through luxury, transforming every moment of care into a contemporary ritual that harmoniously embraces both body and mind.
“Everyone knows the Roman baths. They were renowned for their architectural beauty, but they were also places of recreation, wellbeing, relaxation, pleasure, social interaction and even commerce. What many people don’t know is that these baths did not exist only in Rome. Many were built in England when the Romans occupied Britain centuries ago. Behind many of these baths there were gardens where ingredients used in bathing rituals were cultivated. This gave us the exciting opportunity to create a cohesive collection, intrinsically connected to England. After all, this is Jo Malone London. There is always a story behind every creation.”

Enrich
Inspired by the tepidarium, Enrich helps nourish the skin while offering a sense of comfort, supported by neurosensorial research. The line includes a creamy body wash and a body balm with a warm floral fragrance, blending natural essential oils of rose, chamomile and cedarwood. Both the scent and textures are rich and indulgent.
Purify
Purify draws inspiration from the warm, steam-filled chambers of the caldarium, focusing on a cleansing ritual that purifies the skin and hair while leaving a renewed feeling, confirmed through neurosensorial research. Key ingredients include hyssop, juniper and myrtle.
Restore
The Restore ritual promotes a feeling of replenishment and relaxation, referencing the stage when Romans used oils and exfoliating tools as part of their bathing rituals. The category includes a body oil with notes of jasmine, neroli and rosehip oil, as well as a body scrub featuring delicate notes of honey, clove and nutmeg, offering a sense of luxury reminiscent of Roman times.
Revitalise
Revitalise represents the final step. Inspired by the benefits of the frigidarium, it refreshes the body with an exfoliating soap and a body gel-cream infused with fresh, aromatic citrus notes of lemon peel, verbena and bay larel. According to neurosensorial research, these products evoke a sense of revitalisation and energy.
The fragrances of the Care Collection are more immediate, botanical and aromatic. They feel more elemental and less traditionally “perfumey”, reflecting the collection’s focus on emotional benefits and ritualistic experiences.
