Actress Natalie Portman stars as herself in a new global campaign film for Tiffany & Co.
The three-minute film, which debuted during the 98th Oscars on 15 March, depicts her writing a letter to her daughter, reflecting on resilience, vulnerability and self-worth.
Portman, aged 44, is an Israeli-American actress, director, and producer, best known for her Academy Award-winning role in the 2010 movie Black Swan.
“Our new campaign is a cinematic tribute to inner strength and self-love, as embodied by House ambassador Natalie Portman and the HardWear by Tiffany collection,” said Tiffany.
“The film’s narrative honors the act of love involved in passing down wisdom between generations, mirroring the enduring nature of Tiffany & Co. jewelry, as captured through iconic HardWear designs.”
It was directed by Mona Fastvold and Brady Corbet and shot by cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema. It features a reworked soundtrack of Moon River, originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 film Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
