Polina Ellis, always faithful to her vision of connecting the past with the future through contemporary creation, presents the 2026 good-luck charm: the AETOLEON, a symbol of strength, transcendence, and action.
Inspired by Ancient Greek culture and mythology, the designer draws this year’s inspiration from the gryphon—the mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle, which in antiquity was considered a symbol of power, authority, and divine protection. The gryphon guarded palaces and sacred sites and was associated with royal and divine might, expressing the three realms of the world: celestial, earthly, and chthonic.
Polina Ellis redesigns this archetypal symbol as the Aetoleon, a creature embodying supreme symbolism of power and evolution. The Aetoleon pushes decisively against the boundaries of its frame, encouraging us to surpass our limits, take action, and discover our multifaceted selves.
Her signature design philosophy of contrasting symmetry is expressed in the symbol above the frame, which in an abstract way also depicts the number 26.
