Designed in collaboration with stylist and creative director Colin King, this special collection for Zara Home is devoted to objects. Envisioned as a curated universe of vessels, lighting pieces, candleholders, trays, boxes, and singular sculptural forms, it explores the quiet power of form and material through a refined balance of aesthetic presence and conceptual depth.
Rooted in the idea of modern heirlooms, the collection repositions objects as timeless companions. Each piece exists between dualities: structure and spontaneity, restraint and refinement, precision and natural asymmetry. Designed as families, the objects share a common morphological language. The result is a body of work defined by subtle elegance, minimal yet contemplative.
Materiality plays a central role. Vessels and lighting pieces in brass and bronze coexist with onyx boxes and handcrafted iridescent blown-glass vessels. Woven baskets are silver-plated, while hand-lacquered pieces reveal the precision and richness of traditional techniques. Throughout the collection, finishes enter into dialogue, transparency and opacity, shine and matte texture, density and luminosity, creating a delicate tension that defines both its visual and tactile character.
“The things we live with shape how we feel,” says Colin King.
“Objects hold memory; they quietly gather our days. I think of them as companions — present, but never demanding. When they are made with care, they invite calm, warmth, and attention, transforming the ordinary into something luminous. These pieces are a quiet companionship for real life, created to live with us, to collect small moments of beauty that feel both new and familiar.”
This collaboration with Zara Home reflects the evolution of Colin King’s creative vision, weaving together personal references while celebrating simplicity, timelessness, and the emotional resonance of well-crafted objects designed to shape the spaces we inhabit with grace.
Visually, the collection unfolds through a serene and contemplative aesthetic. Dark, tonal backdrops, contrasting colors, and carefully choreographed compositions frame each object with clarity and intention. Color emerges naturally from the materials — greens, citrine hues, and deep reds.
The imagery emphasizes time and the sculptural weight of form, reinforcing the idea of objects not as mere decorative elements, but as carriers of memory, presence, and enduring timelessness.
The Zara Home × Colin King collection is available in selected stores and online at zarahome.com starting March 13.
