Celebrating 130 Years of Joy, Swarovski illuminated Paris’s most famous avenue as the exclusive sponsor of the Champs-Élysées festive lights.
In collaboration with the City of Paris and the Champs-Élysées Committee, the festive illumination will shine from 16 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. The opening ceremony was attended by Léa Seydoux, the acclaimed French actress and “godmother” of the lighting, as well as Charlotte Cardin, the French-Canadian singer-songwriter, who delivered a captivating performance under the starry Parisian sky.
Highlighting one of the world’s most elegant avenues, the Champs-Élysées festive lighting is an annual landmark in the city’s holiday calendar, attracting visitors from around the globe. This year, Swarovski exclusively sponsored the avenue’s lighting, bringing beauty and brilliance throughout the festive season.
As Masters of Light since 1895, Swarovski has maintained a close relationship with the City of Light for 130 years. Following the groundbreaking invention of the world’s first electric crystal-cutting machine, founder Daniel Swarovski showcased his visionary expertise at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. Since then, the House has supplied many Parisian fashion schools and leading fashion houses, creating a bond between Swarovski, Paris, and the fashion industry that remains strong today.
Swarovski and the City of Paris share not only a passion for art, innovation, and the joy of light, but also a common commitment to supporting the creative and cultural development of the French capital. Both play a key role in highlighting emerging talent at the ANDAM fashion awards, while the House’s crystals illuminate creations by top designers at Paris Fashion Week each season.
Alongside the festive illumination, the House’s mastery of light can be found permanently throughout Paris. At the fountains of the Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées, chains of Swarovski Crystals rotated in a delicate choreography, while just outside the city, at the Palace of Versailles, the House’s experts restored the magnificent Baroque chandeliers and installed LED candle lights to enhance their brilliance.
To mark Swarovski’s 130th anniversary and in conjunction with the Champs-Élysées festive lighting, a pop-up store opened at 1 Place Charles de Gaulle, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a world of wonders.
Located near the iconic Arc de Triomphe and inspired by the House’s signature octagon, it showcases Swarovski’s jewelry and home décor collections, including Giovanna Engelbert’s Vienna Collection, which reflects 130 years of savoir-faire, grace, and refined aesthetics with a contemporary edge. Visitors can personalize gift boxes with crystallized lettering at the gifting & personalization station, while in-store highlights include a figurine of the Eiffel Tower elegantly engraved within clear crystals, and a silver-tone pen with an Eiffel Tower charm.
The pop-up materials come from conscious choices. The Dibond and wood will be recycled. The structure was built from containers—modular elements that will be reused for other events.
The Swarovski Pop-up Store is open at 1 Place Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris, from 16 November to 26 December 2025.
