A long-standing Barrie client, Damien Hirst has imagined an ideal seven-piece cashmere wardrobe adorned with his iconic Spots and Butterflies. Faithful to the fundamental principles that define his paintings, the motifs are translated into knitwear through Barrie’s exceptional savoir-faire.
Proudly knitted in Scotland at Barrie’s historic mill in Hawick, the collection celebrates the Maison’s heritage and unique craftsmanship, brought to life in service of Damien Hirst’s creative vision and enduring love of the brand.
Entirely crafted in cashmere, the collection comprises pieces individually numbered from 1 to 100 in each colourway : a zip-up and a round neck featuring the Spot motif, each available in white with multicoloured spots, white with grey spots and black with multicoloured spots; as well as a hoodie and pants set featuring the Butterfly motif, available in white, black, red and green. The collection also includes a blanket, available in multicoloured and white versions.
The cashmere set is complemented by a jersey hoodie, cashmere scarves, cotton T-shirts, and embroidered patches, allowing Barrie’s knitwear to be personalised and styled as desired. A range of Collectibles, a playful nod to the souvenirs found in museum shops, completes the collection and will also be available for purchase.
The Barrie + Damien Hirst collection will be available from 14 October 2026 on Barrie.com, in Barrie boutiques across Europe, Korea and the Americas and from 10 November 2026 in China, Japan and Taiwan.
