Ancient Greek Sandals partners with long-time friend of the brand, Maria La Rosa Atelier, to unveil a nine-piece capsule collection of embellished socks for Resort ’26. The collaboration celebrates the two brands’ shared commitment to craftsmanship, heritage, and thoughtful innovation.
Central to Ancient Greek Sandals’ ethos isworking with, and supporting,like-minded brands that complement its collections. Its Athens stores feature a curated, rotating selection from itscommunity of collaborators—both emerging and established—reflecting a spirit of creative exchange.
For over thirty years, Maria La Rosa Atelier has specialised in handcrafted bags, socks, and accessories, produced using traditional artisan techniques, including antique looms. Having enjoyed a longstanding relationship, the creation of an exclusive sock collection felt like a natural evolution of the partnership.
The capsule spans a range of textures and weights: heavier styles are crafted from merino wool and cashmere, while lighter designs are rendered in silk. Each piece is finished with Ancient Greek Sandals’ signature platinum wing logo, with some styles further embellished—from frills and pearls to sequins and crystals. Select styles have been designed specifically to pair with the brand’s velvet slippers, offering an elevated, evening-ready edit, while others complement the new collection of jelly wellies, offering a fun interplay between the high gloss transparentPVC and the colour and texture of the socks.
Christina Martini, Creative Director of Ancient Greek Sandals, says:“We have long admired Maria La Rosa, and are proud to carry her designs in both our Athens boutique and airport store. Her distinctive aesthetic and exceptional craftsmanship make her pieces especially sought-after by our customers. Her socks pair effortlessly with our sandals, ballerinas and boat shoes.
For thiscollection, inspired by the Sloan Rangers, we wanted socks that would perfectly complement both our shoes and boots-Maria La Rosa was the natural choice. When we approached LisaFerrari, she embraced the collaboration with enthusiasm, and together we quickly brought our vision to life. Frills, pearls, rich colours, and plaids-embellished with our signature charms, sequins, and crystal-define a collection that feels both playful and emotionally resonant.”
Lisa Ferrari, Sock Designer at Maria La Rosa, says: “It is a true honour for us to collaborate with Ancient Greek Sandals, a brand we deeply admire and whose refined, sophisticated aesthetic strongly resonates with our own. This project has been both exciting and creatively stimulating, inspiring us throughout the process. We are genuinely delighted with the experience and proud to be part of this collaboration.Creating with people who share the same taste results in a perfect blend, where each element comes together in effortless harmony.”
