Camper, the internationally renowned family-owned footwear company from Mallorca, Spain, has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in luxury footwear brand Ancient Greek Sandals. This strategic partnership brings together two brands with deep Mediterranean roots and shared values, united by a commitment to quality, traditional craftsmanship, and a long-term vision for the future of the footwear industry.
Under the new agreement, Camper will become the majority shareholder, while Ancient Greek Sandals founders Nicolas Minoglou and Christina Martini, together with co-owner Yannis Vagenas, will retain minority stakes in the company. They will also continue to lead the brand, remaining in their respective roles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Creative Director, and Chief Brand & Marketing Officer.
Ancient Greek Sandals will continue to operate as a fully independent brand, preserving its distinctive Greek identity and aesthetic. At the same time, becoming part of the Camper group will provide the company with access to Camper’s extensive international infrastructure and capabilities. The partnership will strengthen Ancient Greek Sandals through world-class support across commercial operations, technology, human resources, and advanced product development.
