Internationally acclaimed artist Anish Kapoor has returned to London’s Hayward Gallery with a major exhibition showcasing both new and historic works, nearly three decades after his landmark show at the venue. The exhibition features large-scale installations, sculptures, paintings and immersive environments spanning Kapoor’s long career.
Among the highlights are the new works “HA MAKOM” (2026), “Plastic Sacrifice I, II, III” (2026), “All of Nothing” (2026), “Paradise” (2026), “Untitled” (2026) and “Cloak” (2026), alongside celebrated earlier works including “Descent into Limbo” (1992). Speaking at the exhibition preview, Kapoor described the show as a “coming home” moment, reflecting on his return to the iconic London gallery after 28 years.
The artist discussed his fascination with the color red, describing it as both a symbol of celebration and a source of fear, darkness and wonder. Visitors will encounter monumental sculptures, void installations, reflective surfaces and immersive environments that explore themes of perception, consciousness, absence and the relationship between objects and space.
The Hayward Gallery exhibition offers one of the most comprehensive looks at Kapoor’s recent artistic evolution and features some of his most ambitious works to date.
